    The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) is the oldest and largest single life science membership organization in the world. ASM represents 24 disciplines of microbiological specialization plus a division for microbiology educators.

The Texas Department of Health has published Disease Prevention News (DPN) for over fifty years. Distributed twice a month, the DPN newsletter provides health care professionals throughout the state of Texas with a wide variety of timely public health information, including Texas morbidity and mortality data.

  • Medscape

    Medscape is an interactive multi-specialty site that pools information from clinical journals, medical news providers, medical education programs, and material created expressly for Medscape.

  • OutBreak

Outbreak is an on-line information service addressing emerging diseases.

The Program for Monitoring Emerging Diseases (ProMED) was proposed by the Federation of American Scientists specifically to create a global system of early detection and timely response to disease outbreaks.

  • WHO

    The World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations with 191 Member States, WHO promotes technical cooperation for health among nations, carries out programs to control and eradicate disease and strives to improve the quality of human life.
