Cenizo habit - it's a shrub Another common name is Barometer Bush, because it usually flowers in profusion just after a rain!
Look at how "dusty" the leaves appear.  For this reason, Cenizo is often called Texas Sage flower close-up, showing slightly zygomorpic symmetry.  The darker pink spots on the lower lip are probably "nectar guides" for pollinating insects.
