habit--Rubus trivialis is a vine leaf--what kind of leaf complexity is shown here?  what kind of leaf margin?

stems - the stems have prickles that are retrorse (pointing downward). They also have slender bristles scattered amongst the prickles. flower--notice how the petals are crumpled like paper.  Are the petals free or fused?

flower closeup--see how numerous the stamens are?  This is a common characteristic of the Rosaceae.
