flowers in April flower closeup--how many petals and stamens are present?  Do you see how the filaments of the stamens are fused to the petals?  Notice that the stigma is shaped like a club--this is always the case in Calylophus, while in Oenothera the stigma is cross-shaped.

leaves and flower buds--what leaf shape is present?  what leaf margin is present? more leaves and buds--do you see that the flower buds are always clustered at the tips of branches?
