habit--Ageratina is a small to large shrub heads and leaves in Fall--what kinds of flowers are present in these heads?  Ray flowers, disk flowers, or both?
heads again--do you see the actinomorphic corollas of the disk flowers?  Also, notice the flower buds at the bottom.  Here you can clearly see that heads in the Asteraceae are made up of several individual flowers. young inflorescences
