Thanksgiving Holiday UTEX will be closed on Thursday, November 27th, and Friday, November 28th, in observance of the
U.S. Thanksgiving holiday. Orders placed after Tuesday, November 25th, will not be sent out until
Monday, December 8th.
Winter Holiday UTEX will be closed from
December 22, 2014 to January 2, 2015. Orders placed after December 10th at 5pm CST will not be shipped until January 12th, 2015. Orders for
bulk and diatom cultures placed after November 24th will not be inoculated until
January 5th, 2015. Bulk and diatoms typically
take 3-4 weeks to grow and will be shipped at the end of January 2015. Order confirmations will still be sent out through
December 19th with an approximate shipping date.
NAABB Strains Are Now Available Through UTEX The National Alliance for Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts (NAABB), a consortium of universities, research institutions, and companies funded by the US Department of Energy, has made 30 of their best performing strains available to the public through UTEX. These strains are well characterized for lipid production and growth kinetics. The strains can be accessed with a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA). Please contact
