in pine. Even at this high magnification, there is not too much to see in a
transverse section of pine phloem. Most anatomy labs will have teaching slides
of this material, so you will probably have the opportunity to examine it
yourself. Do not be surprised if you do not see much. Instead, look at the
radial sections that are present on most slides of this type. Micrographs of
those are shown in the next few figures.
