Persian acacia (Albizia julibrissin in the legume family, also called
silk tree). The wood of this species shows two distinctive features:
1.
The vessels are solitary: all visible vessels (except two) are
separated from the other vessels, they do not occur in clusters.
2.
The vessels are rather uniform in size, none being especially wider
or narrower than the others.
