Elk()
The grey wolf (Canis lupus), left, and the elusive lynx (Lynx lynx), right, are inhabitants of the great temperate forests in Eurasia. In America, the latter is replaced by a very similar species, the Canadian lynx (Lynx canadensis).
Contrary to general belief, temperate forests are the home of several primates in Asia, such as this magnificent golden monkey (Rhinopithecus bieti).
