09/10 The first Lecture Quiz and Lab Entrance Quiz grades are now posted in
eGradebook.  Check that your score is correct.  Remember, you have 72hrs
once grades are posted to fill out online the CPS problem form (link below).

09/05 Helpful Information for each lab exercise!  Be sure to check out the "Lab Exercise Info" button in the left frame each week.  There are many helpful animations, videos, and websites.  For example, this week there is a video of how to use the particular microscope you will use in lab and how to calibrate an ocular reticle, how to measure a specimen with a calibrated ocular reticle, how to prepare a wet mount, etc -all skills you must acquire in Exercise 2 and over which you will be tested during the lab practical exam.    

09/05 Safety Video Most Bio205L students viewed the lab safety video and received proper safety instruction last week as part of the 1st lab exercise.  ALL Bio205L students must have seen the lab safety video and received the safety instruction prior to being allowed to perform the lab exercises.  Thus, if you missed lab last week, make-up viewing times of the lab safety video are
TUESDAY / WEDNESDAY / THURSDAY 8:30am and 1pm in PAI 1.24.
If you missed lab last week, you will NOT be allowed to perform future laboratory exercises without having seen the safety video and record of doing so. (You will receive an authorization form when you attend this week to give your laboratory instructor.)
 

08/31 No Monday Lecture Sept 7th  
Labs start the WEEK of Aug 31st - Sept 4th. Have a safe lab.

Lecture starts Aug 31st and then labs meet starting Sept 1st.
We sent out a welcome email on 8/.  
Be sure you are receiving UT class emails.  If you don't have an updated
email, too stringent of filters, or just added the class -see a pdf version
of this welcome email with instructions to purchase the lab manual and cps
remote and register to use the CPS system.

08/31 The CPS system will be used in ALL MONDAY lecture sections starting Monday Aug 31st.  You will also use the CPS for lab entrance quizzes.
To receive your CPS scores, you must have purchased the cps remote and have successfully registered for BOTH your laboratory AND lecture section, AND have signed the CPS Use and Rules agreement.
